Welcome to Vom Osuna K9s! We are a dedicated German Shepherd breeder, professional dog trainer and CGC evaluator based in Oregon. Our passion for this incredible breed started long before we began breeding, and our journey was deeply influenced by our first Shepherds—rescues who had suffered from poor breeding practices. Witnessing their health struggles and temperamental challenges reinforced our mission: to breed ethically, with purpose, and to improve the breed for generations to come. At Vom Osuna K9s, we are committed to breeding healthy, well-tempered, and structurally sound German Shepherds. We adhere to the highest ethical breeding standards, selecting only dogs with strong pedigrees, stable temperaments, and excellent health. Every breeding pair undergoes extensive health testing, including genetic screening through Embark DNA to rule out breed-related genetic diseases such as DM; as well as doing hip and elbow evaluations through either OFA, PennHIP, SV, or FCI, CAER eye exams, and thorough veterinary screenings. Our goal is to produce dogs that are not only exceptional companions but also healthy, capable working dogs with the best possible start in life. We believe that a well-bred German Shepherd is more than just a pet—they are a lifelong family member. Our dogs are raised in a loving, structured environment where they receive early socialization, foundational training, and a semi-raw diet to support their long-term health. From birth to adoption—and for the entirety of their lives—we stand by our dogs and their families, offering guidance, training support, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being.
